2008 Annual Meeting
57 voting members
attended the 28th Annual Meeting of the BDM RURAL WATER SYSTEM, INC.
Neil Foote, Langford, was reelected as director in District Five, and
Lance Fliehs, Groton, was elected in District Two. Steve Simon,
Groton, did not seek re-election in District Two.
Financial and Operations
reports were given and the Hecla Area and Internal Expansions were
discussed. Manager Wade reviewed BDM's position on the
TransCanada Keystone Pipeline project. Manager Wade also
introduced a system capacity upgrade project.
It was announced that four $500 scholarships
will be awarded this year, two boys and two girls. To be eligible
the parents must be customers of BDM Rural Water System, must
submit a transcript with a C average or higher, a one page application
(which will be in the June issue of Quality On Tap!), a photo for
publication in the newspaper, and attend a two or four year
college in the following year.
